Kompas, 21/09 – Weather anomaly in East Java had triggered the spread of Diptheria (a disease attacking upper respiratory tract). Based on the provincial health office’s data, 11 districts of the province (Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan, Sumenep, Surabaya, Gresik, Sidoarjo, Pasuruan, Probolinggo, Situbondo, and Banyuwangi) are diphtheria endemic.
